The total export cargos of 76,993 tonnes comprised of 33,519 tonnes of containerised cargo; 607 tonnes of bulk cargo; 37,767 tonnes of clinkers and 5,100 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. As many as 1,165 containers comprising of 373 containers import and 792 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday. The breakup of imported containers shows 131 of 20's and 87 of 40's loaded while 20 of 20's and 24 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 309 of 20's and 180 of 40's loaded containers while 87 of 20's and 18 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There were eight ships namely Los Angles Trader, Wehr Schulan, Xin Los Angles, Northern Dedication, CSL Santa Maria, Torm Hellerup, Olivia and Chemtrans Oceanic carrying containers, oil tankers and mogas respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. There were nine vessels viz. CSL Santa Maria, Diyala, Seaspan Melborne, Sapsan, Al Mahboobah, Indus Dolphin, Marie Grace, Galaxy Ace and Beaufort carrying containers, oil tanker, chemical, clinkers, dradger and general cargo respectively currently at the berths.
A cargo volume of 147,106 tonnes comprising 98,941 tonnes of import cargo and 48,165 tonnes of export cargo including 2,943 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 98,941 tonnes includes 8,357 tonnes of LNG; 137 tonnes of LPG; 70,544 tonnes of coal; 5,100 tonnes of palm oil; 1,273 tonnes of project cargo; 5,678 tonnes of phosphoric acid and 7,752 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 48,165 tonnes includes 48,165 tonnes of containerised cargo. As many as 2,943 containers comprising of 408 containers import and 2,535 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday. There were four ships namely CMA CGM Medea, Cape Male, Acadia Park and IMO carrying containers, chemical and LNG respectively expected to sail on Monday afternoon.
A total number of ten vessels were occupied berths to load/offload containers, project cargo, coal, canola, phosphoric acid, LNG and palm oil respectively at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours. As many as six vessels viz. MSC Bilbao, Pacific Constant, Federal Tombo, SCF Alpine, Gion Trader and NCC Maha carrying containers, coal, diesel oil and palm oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
There were four ships viz. MSC Bilbao, Federal Tombo, SCF Alpine and Gion Trader carrying containers, coal, diesel oil and palm oil respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Monday. There are two ships namely MSC Pine and Maersk Columbus carrying containers due to arrive on Tuesday.
